Thermische Einsatzgrenzen von Kunststoffen

Dieser Beitrag ist Herrn Prof. Dr.-lng. Dr.-Ing. E.h. W. Michaeli zur Vollendung seines 60. Lebensjahres gewidmet. Bei der Ermittlung thermischer Einsatzgrenzen von Kunststoffen unter statischer Belastung muss neben der Spannungs- und Temperaturabhängigkeit auch die Zeitabhängigkeit der Verformung berücksichtigt werden. Verschiedene Methoden zur Extrapolation von Kriechkurven werden vergleichend gegenübergestellt und die Gesamtverformung mittels rheologisch-mechanischer Modelle in geschlossener Form in differenzierter Darstellung der elastischen, viskosen und relaxierenden Verformungsanteile bis in den nicht-linear viskoelastischen Bereich berechnet.
