Reaction Kinetics of Thermoset Based MortarSystems for Load Bearing BuildingApplications
The admissible temperature range for the application of thermoset based bonded anchors is permanently expanded towards lower installation temperatures. At the same time the materials used show a strong temperature dependency of their reaction behaviour and consequently their material properties. By means of investigations carried out with a commercial bonded anchor system this temperature dependency can be illustrated and the reaction kinetics can be modelled on the basis of calorimetric analysis. Based on this a method was derived which allows to determine admissible application limits based on reasonable boundaries for the application temperature and necessary curing time for such anchors.
