Prediction of the Deformation Behaviour of Semicrystalline Thermoplastic Parts using a Continuous Simulation Chain
Inner properties of injection-moulded thermoplastic parts resulting from the manufacturing conditions have a strong influence on their mechanical behaviour. A prediction of the inner properties and their integration into a plastics-oriented material model leads to a suitable and therefore material saving design. Initial results for a polypropylene plastic pipe fitting were obtained and are discussed in this paper.
