Methodology for the simulation of flows in proximity to walls using the example of color change processes

In this work, a simulation methodology was developed to investigate the impact of the surface topology on boundary flows with numerical simulations. The method allows the stepwise conversion of a macro model into micro scale. This downsizing enables the simulation of flow conditions in proximity to the flow channel boundary through higher resolution. This procedure is shown exemplary for a material change processes under consideration of a corundum blasted surface topology.
