Isothermal and non-isothermal Crystallization Kinetics for Blends of Polyamide 6 and Polypropylene
The isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of blends of PP and PA 6 was investigated. A nucleation effect of PA 6 over the PP was observed in these blends. For compatibilized blends coincidental crystallization of PP and PA 6 was observed, while for non-compatibilized blends separate crystallization was observed. A modified Nakamura-Ziabicki equation was successfully used to model the non-isothermal crystallization for cooling rates up to 175 °C/min.
