Extrusion foamability of high-temperature polyetherimide
Systematic investigations of the extrusion foamability of a high-temperature polyetherimide using a chemical blowing agent have demonstrated that a pronounced density reduction coupled with homogeneous foam cell morphology can be obtained under stable processing conditions. This manufacturing approach opens the door for the cost-effective production of lightweight substrates for novel printed electronic circuit boards.
