Effects during Injection Molding of Polymer-Bonded Magnets with Multipolar Structure
The addition of hard-magnetic fillers into the plastic matrix enables the production of polymer-bonded magnets for drive and sensor applications. The resulting magnetic properties of the molded magnets with multipolar structure depend significantly on the orientation of the hardmagnetic fillers due to a multipole magnetic field inside the mold. The factors of influence on the orientation of the fillers and therefore on the pole curve of the magnets with multipolar structure are evaluated. A processing model could be derived, which shows the correlations during processing.
