An alternative plastification system based on natural gas
This paper deals with an alternative method for the plasticizing of polymer materials. The system is based on the primary energy carrier natural gas as main source for the required plasticizing energy. A system containing two special designed heat exchangers as well as natural gas based heaters are the key technologies for this project. In addition to the development of the new plasticizing concept, this paper describes furthermore the layout of a prototype.
