Influence of Processing Conditions on the Internal Structure of Thermoplastic Injection Mouldings with Special Regard on Cooling Behaviour

In the first part of the theses the cooling behaviour of thermoplastic materials during injection moulding process is examined. The experimental temperature courses result in simple rules for calculation of cooling times for different materials in practice.

In the second part the influence of processing conditions (melt temperature, mould temperature, injection speed, holding pressure) on internal structure (molecular orientation, residual stresses, crystallinity) is analysed. Profiles of molecular orientation are developed via shrinkage of microtome samples.
