Contribution to establish the relationships between molecular orientation and polymericmaterial propertieswithlight optical methods

The formation of molecular superlattice structures essentially influences the orientation and hence the microscopical and macroscopical anisotropy properties of the moulded parts. As compared with many measuring methods, optical offer the advantage of contactless and often non-destruktive methods investigation during any period of time. An automatic birefringence measuring instrument on the basis of a commercial research polarization microscope was developed, built and employed for structure investigations of polymeric materials after technological teste under different conditions.
