Integration of Multiple Sensors

Werth Messtechnik

ScopeCheck FB DZ with two independent sensor axes for collision-free measurement in production environments (© Werth Messtechnik)

Combining measuring systems frequently posed a major challenge until now because of the risk of sensor collisions due to a lack of interfaces. Werth Messtechnik GmbH, Giessen, Germany, is debuting the ScopeCheck FB DZ, which permits measurement with every sensor and, thanks to a dual-ram concept and multi-sensor interface, allows collision-free measurement close to production. A major advance is the combined measuring range of at least 400 mm x 500 mm x 350 mm available for multi-sensor measurements. Thinner sensor rams are used and the guides have been optimized. Construction with two independent sensor axes prevents collisions between the workpiece and sensors not involved in the measurement, and also allows sensors to enter a large workpiece. Furthermore, sensors mounted on a rotating or swivel joint, e.g. probes or image processing sensors, can be used without restrictions in all directions. The basic version of the ScopeCheck FB DZ with zoom optics can be expanded to incorporation of additional sensors (e. g. laser probe or fiber probe).
