Adhesion and Durability

Kraiburg TPE GmbH & Co. KG, Waldkraiburg, Germany, specializes in tailored thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The latest innovation is a TPE with very good adhesion to ethylene-propylene-diene rubbers (EPDM).

This range of materials is particularly suitable for exterior automotive applications, such as window seals made from EPDM profiles with integrally molded TPE corner joints. According to the manufacturer, these compounds in the Thermolast K product group combine good adhesion to EPDM with good UV and weathering resistance and high flowability.
