Substitute for Metal
Ter Plastic Polymer Group
Ter Plastic Polymer Group, Herne, Germany, will be launching two new long fiber glass-reinforced materials in the Terez range as substitutes for metal in structural parts. The pellets are between 6 and 12 mm long, with various polymers serving as matrix material. The glass fiber-reinforced polyamide compound HT 200 H G30 FR40 has the highest fire rating (UL 94 V-0). Ter Plastic also offers a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) which can serve as a substitute for LED tapes due to its high impact strength, and special pigmentation and light scattering.
