Superex Blown Film Machine
Featuring High-Efficiency Multi-Outlet Cooling Air Ring
The Superex Blown Film Machine from Jinming Machinery, Guangdong,China, uses advanced processing technology, dies and runners, and a next-generation high-efficiency multi-outlet cooling air ring independently developed and produced by Jinming to achieve high-degree automation and high productivity.
Jinming Machinery’s proprietary next-generation high-efficiency multi-outlet cooling air ring increases the cooling efficiency by more than 40 % compared with common air rings (or automatic air rings) with double outlets in the China market. As a result, the output of the production line will increase by 40-50% when the extrusion capacity is ensured. Testing data show that the production capacity of a 300 mm die is up to 420 kg/h, which is ranked at the top in the industry.
After coming out of the die, the film bubble will first be pre-cooled at the lower air ring, and then blown up at the upper air ring so that the film bubble will have high strength and the products will have a high blown-up ratio. This cooling technique is similar to the POF and HDPE blow-up method. Different from the process in which the film bubble is blown up after being out of the die, the film bubble will not be blown up until it is pre-cooled. High polymer materials if stretched in quasi-viscous flow state will have a lower degree of crystallization, and thus the film transparency and mechanical properties will be greatly improved.
Automatic air ring technology is used in the design of the upper air ring for blow-up cooling control and an online film thickness measuring system is used for automatic film thickness control. Because the upper air outlet is away from the high-temperature die and the film bubble is pre-cooled, the precision control of the automatic air ring is less affected by external factors to achieve good control stability and high efficiency. Compared with traditional air rings, the next-generation high-efficient multi-outlet air ring increases production capacity by 40-50% but the manufacturing cost increases by only 40%. The newly-increased cost will be recovered by the electricity expenses saved in six months.
Maximum output of the Superex 5-layer blown film line is 720 kg/h. It's total power is 780 kW, and the actual load power is about 60-70 % of it. The film thickness ranges from 0.03 mm to 0.12 mm. Maximum film layflat is 2100 mm.
Only recently this machine line (model: M5B-2300Q-S) has been sold to a Mexican customer. Selling this machine line means for Jinming that they is gaining recognition for their product performance and brand identity in the global market. The company is expanding business to the overseas market.
At K 2016 Jinming introduced the Smartex Platform. With the platform, customers can monitor and manage the production orders and remote film diagnosis. On the basis of the Internet technology, Jinming’s Smartex platform is developed in the direction of intelligent manufacturing of film equipment and Industry 4.0. The platform enables customer with automatic operation, multi-device networking and remote film diagnosis. In the production process, the Smartex can also realize remote activity allocation and order dispatching management.
For large plastic film makers, the Smartex can help them to build up their “Smart Factory”, and forming an intelligent processing control system. These film production enterprises will benefit from the reduction of operation workers and production costs as well as the enhancement for the machine capacity. For small and medium plastic film makers, the platform can provide a mobile manufacturing management software. In other words, with mobile devices production managers are able to control and evaluate the running condition of the machines timely, such as forewarning machinery breakdown.
