Standardized Stack-Mold Components

Small Tie-Bar Spacing and High Opening Forces

Stack molds are increasingly being used not only in cases where production space is limited. By offering twice the number of cavities, they also double the number of parts produced for the same clamping force, and therefore improve machine utilization. Alternatively, with the same number of cavities, the clamping force can be halved, thereby offering lower investment and space demand. Stack molds offer a technical and economic alternative to larger machines or molds.

New standardized components from Hasco Hasenclever GmbH + Co. KG, Lüdenscheid, Germany, the Z1545 gear housing and the Z1547 rack unit permit such stack molds to be installed easily, reproducibly and inexpensively. The low height of the components ensures a small tie-bar spacing on the IM machine, as well as high opening forces thanks to the use of high-quality materials. DLC-coated slideways minimize wear and prolong maintenance intervals. The use of these standardized parts benefits unit costs per article and competitiveness.
