Shelf-mounted robot KR60L16-3KS
A Long Arm
Kuka Roboter GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, has developed the shelf-mounted KR60L16-3KS robot for removal of plastic parts from injection molds. The company is responding to the needs of the industry for flexibility and space savings with a weight- and speed-optimized unit that ducks into the injection molding machine, reaching far into the mold space. The new model thus features a small footprint, high speed and long reach of 3,000 mm horizontally and over 2,000 mm vertically. With its slim hand, the robot can reach into small and narrow mold openings. Furthermore, it is equipped with the Kuka Plastics package of functions. This includes a media unit, energy supply for up to 6 axes and an E67 interface.
