Select Multi H150/260-100-T

Nine Synchronous Drives

Select Multi H150/260-100-T

The French injection molding machine manufacturer Billion S.A.S, Bellignat, France, presented its new all-electric Select range at K. The machines will at first be available in the clamping force range from 750 to 1,500kN and combine familiar advantages, such as repeatability, quiet running, rapid and parallel machine movements and low energy consumption. The components for constant power transmission, which are known from hydraulics, and the closed-loop servo distributor form the basic design elements of the range. A total of nine synchronous motors with transmissions ensure precise movements. Billion is pursuing a twin-track approach: For example, so-called ball-screw actuation is used for the ejectors and long-life planetary gears for the movements of the clamping and injection units, which require higher powers. All the functions are centrally housed in a switch cabinet beneath the injection unit.
