Cubic Pellets

Sagitta

Pelletizer for the production of cube-shaped pellets (© Sagitta)

The band granulators from Sagitta S.P.A., Vigevano, Italy, are suitable for the production of cube-shaped pellets. On condition that they are band-shaped and have a certain stiffness, natural or synthetic rubber compounds, as well as thermoplastics, and various rigid plastics, can be pelletized.

In addition, the company offers the RSP55 electronic splitting machine. Sharpening is performed by micrometer-accurate setting with automatic positioning of the knife. The feed rate is controlled by an electronic setting. A special technology is used to ensure the parallel running of the feed roller conveyor and the cutting knife; grinding residues are removed by suction. The customer’s portfolio also includes and automatic trimming machine for trimming rubber and elastomer disks and gaskets.

The TGM models cut rotating elastomer or rubber sleeves into rings by means of lance-shaped or circular knives. These machine types can be equipped with up to six rotating mandrels on which the tubes can be fixed. They can be used for tubular sleeves up to 150 mm length, and even up to 500 mm, according to customers. The tolerance is ±0.01 mm with up to 140 cuts per minute.
