Protection at High Temperatures
The long-term heat stabilizers developed and produced in Germany at Oka-Tec GmbH, Bönen, enable polyolefins to be stabilized for continuous service temperatures of over 150 °C. Furthermore, the emission and odor limits assessed ever more strictly by the automotive industry can be far more easily achieved than with conventionally stabilized systems. In certain cable and tube formulations, it is often not possible to avoid the use of metal deactivators. These additives are generally used in addition to the normal heat stabilizers in polyolefins. With the innovative, multifunctional solution offered by Okabest PAT 550B, the additive costs can be reduced while at the same time improving the performance. Alternatively the performance can be almost doubled with the identical additive volume.
