Nozzle Platform Velocity at DME
Hot Runner Performance and Reliability in One Package
DME Europe, Mechelen, Belgium, and Mold-Masters Europa GmbH, Baden-Baden, are joining forces to offer DME customers one of today’s market’s most thermally precise and reliable nozzle platform: Velocity.
The Velocity platform uses proprietary in-house heating elements, patented multi-material tip geometries and unique heater brazing technology. Velocity nozzles come in four standard sizes - Femto, Pico, Centi & Deci - in lengths from 27 mm to 220 mm and in six standard gate configurations including hot tip, valve gate and sprue gate. According to the manufacturer, no other nozzle platform provides the flexibility to put the gate in difficult to mold locations while offering the best steel and cooling conditions.
The Velocity nozzle platform can be combined with seven popular manifold configurations with standard pitch ranges to obtain high speed system deliveries, rapid assembly drawings and notable price savings. Every manifold is analyzed to ensure that the heating is uniform over its entire surface. This aids fill balance and prevents any degradation of the material. Integrated heaters provide energy-efficient and long-lasting heater performance.
Through DME’s and Mold-Masters’ complementary product lines, DME is able to provide the innovative Intelligent or Smart Series II Temperature Control System with the Velocity system. The Intelligent Control System, which can be easily installed or retrofitted on a variety of machines, offers a compact design with the ability to expand to meet changing requirements. The unit’s plug-and-play system architecture does not require any external service.
