Who is not familiar with the annoying sputtering and gurgling when emptying a canister? AFK Andreas Franke Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. KG, Finnentrop, Germany, has addressed this problem and developed a novel pour spout. A bleeder is incorporated into it – the air entering the canister allows the container to be emptied with no loss of liquid or spots on clothing.

To succeed with the project (after receiving an order from a manufacturer of plastic packaging), AFK designed a highly complex mold with four separate, freely programmable core pulls that allow the spout to be molded to exact tolerances. The canisters with the bleeder spout are intended for use in both industry and private households.
