Mixomat Mixer as Conveying Scales
The polymer components are drawn in here in accordance with the formulation, weighed precisely and blended homogeneously
At K 2013 Azo GmbH + Co. KG, Osterburken, Germany, presents its Mixomat, a space-saving, inexpensive and easy-to-clean system, for automatic provision of premixes that are fed directly to the extrusion processes in a continuous, gravimetric process.
The Azodos dosing units installed above the extruder are fed with the aid of pneumatic vacuum conveying systems. The collective feeding systems used for this are energy-efficient and work at the optimum conveying speed. As the polymers have to be assembled from various feeding points, Azo often additionally employs a Mixomat mixer as conveying scales immediately above the extruder. The polymer components are drawn in here in accordance with the formulation, weighed precisely and blended homogeneously. In this way, a number of raw materials can be conveyed via a single dosing system, thus saving costs. The premixes are now discharged into the following buffer hopper.
