Solution-Oriented Combination of Different Technologies
Milacron Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, as a provider of integrated solutions, is bundling different activities in a variety of plastics processing disciplines under one roof. Products and systems from Mold-Masters, DME, Tirad and Cimcool will therefore also be on show on the fair stand alongside Milacron injection molding machines. The company is also pursuing the solution-oriented combination of different technologies in the manufacturing cells being demonstrated on Lake Constance. 1C Razors will be produced on one side of a combined 1C and 2C mold, while 2C razors are produced on the other side – all in one cell. An integrated, fully automated robot system removes or repositions the parts. A Ferromatik F120 is used here that with its vast array of options has been specially adapted to the demands of this application.
Furthermore, with the new Magna Toggle injection molding machine (Fig.), a toggle clamp machine is coming onto the European market which, according to the manufacturer, in the servo-hydraulic version promises short cycle times with high energy efficiency, durability of the hydraulic components as well as high repeat accuracy and precision. The exhibit will be producing storage containers of PP.
