Makrolon multi UV six-wall sheets

Since the launch of Makrolon multi UV six-wall sheets (types: 6/16-20 and 6/20-20); manufacturer: Bayer Sheet Europe, Darmstadt, Germany) in mid-2003, almost 2 million square meters of roofing across Europe has been covered with the energy-saving sheets. The product saves up to 25% energy compared to standard sheets of the same thickness, representing an annual saving of about 5 liters heating oil or 5.5m3 natural gas per square meter. That could reduce CO2 emissions by about 65,000t compared to standard products. The six-wall sheets are valued by property developers, planners and architects from the private and industrial sectors, since besides low weight per unit area and good cold-bending properties, they also offer excellent thermal insulation. The panels are part of the i-line range, which is rounded off by the 5X structured sheet in thicknesses of 25, 32 and 40mm for private applications and the translucent heat-reducing versions of the IQ-Relax family. Compared to conventional standard sheets, they reduce the heat transfer to interior rooms, as a function of the total energy transmission, by up to 50% with no loss of light transmission.
