Flex 20 and Flex 60 Glossmeters and Goniophotometers

Portable Gloss Meters for Small Parts and Curved Surfaces

The Flex instruments measure the image quality and reflectance profile of surfaces (figure: Konica Minolta)

Konica Minolta Sensing Europe B.V. supplies system solutions for the fields of color and appearance, light and display measurement. It is showcasing the new Flex 20 and Flex 60 portable glossmeters and goniophotometers (Fig.), which offer high flexibility in the measurement of gloss, reflectance haze and orange peel for small parts and curved surfaces. Just like the Rhopoint IQ meters, the Flex instruments measure the image quality and reflectance profile of surfaces. The small measurement surface is more efficient than a conventional glossmeter, while its compact size and shape also allow it to be used in inaccessible areas. The results obtained with Flex instruments are compatible with existing Rhopoint IQ gloss and appearance measurements. To enable it to be used on free-form surfaces or small parts, the instrument can also be configured with magnetically attached adapter plates, which can alternatively be made of rubber, felt or plastic for scratch-sensitive surfaces.
