K-series temperature controllers

Temperature Controllers for Multi-Cavity Molds

K-series temperature controllers

Following the recent acquisition of controller manufacturer PMS, Mold-Masters Europa GmbH of Baden-Baden, Germany, introduced its new K-series temperature controllers for the first time at EuroMold. The controllers in this series are modular and compact and, according to the manufacturer, provide an economic solution, especially for applications with many cavities. The electronics base for the new systems has been established on the market for ten years. It allows easy access for system maintenance and offers high user friendliness with a large 15-inch touch screen. Up to 240 zones can be controlled by the touch screen.

The new six-zone card option considerably reduces the cost of large-format controllers, as 120 zones now fit into a single 19-inch rack. There are numerous control card options available as 6 x 5 A, 3 x 15 A, 2 x 20 A and 1 x 30 A, with or without current measurement. All cards can be factory fitted in any combination to suit any application. Controller cabinets are available with 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 slots, which can be run up to a maximum of 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 zones respectively. A separate connector panel design allows the K20 to be configured to the customer’s exact connection standard. The flexible bus system allows for many other add-on options, including monitoring of the cooling water circuit, temperature (DT), pressure (DP) and Reynolds number.
