Thermoforming Machine for Form/Cut/Stack Operations

GN Thermoforming Equipment

Thermoforming plant with forming, cutting, and stacking functions (© GN Thermoforming Equipment)

The GN800 thermoforming machine from GN Thermoforming Equipment in Chester, Nova Scotia/Canada, can be equipped for forming, punching, and stacking operations. The system provides generous space between the forming and cutting stations, which permits additional cooling when processing heavier gauge materials or PP. With a size of 800 mm x 570 mm, the forming area can operate 150 mm above and below the sheet line. According to the manufacturer, the machine’s efficient heating section is four times the index length of the forming area. The plugs are operated with servo drives, thereby providing better material distribution in the resulting molded parts. The machine can be configured for processing a wide range of different materials with thicknesses between 0.25 mm and 1.5 mm. Maximum film width that can be handled is 880 mm.
