Focused Laser Competence for Plastic Parts

Foba

Foba M2000 laser marking machine (figure: Foba)

Foba has been part of Alltec GmbH, Selmsdorf, Germany, since 2009, and is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of precision systems for marking and engraving with lasers. The use of lasers for the marking of plastics has already found widespread use in the automotive industry, in medical technology and in machine engineering. The reason for this is the reliable legibility and permanent abrasion resistance. Laser marking systems have, in the meantime, found widespread use not only due to their marking properties, but also thanks to their imaging process solutions. The Vision System IMP (Intelligent Marking and Positioning) ensures stable marking processes with increased productivity and profitability on the production line. In order to support product tracing and for product safety, the functions of code read-back and optical character verification (OCV) are used. Visitors can see the code read-back and OCV on the laser marking machines of the M series on the spot during the fair (Fig.).
