Economical Small-Series Tool
With the new K3600 small-series mold, users can perform fast and efficient mold exchange on all conventional injection molding machines equipped with the new Clever Mold System (CMS). With CMS, Hasco Hasenclever GmbH + Co. KG, Lüdenscheid, Germany, has integrated many standard components of a conventional injection mold into the clamping device. Consequently, it offers more possibilities than a traditional quick clamping system, such as the full functional area of the chosen mold size and no restrictions due to inserts or reduced ejector assembly areas.
The K3600 tool, developed for the economical production of practically oriented small series, consists of platens, ejector assembly, and corresponding accessory components, and is perfectly tailored to the Clever Mold System. The standard platens are available in the materials 1.2767 and Toolox 33. The four customary mold sizes are compatible with the K range.
On average, mold exchange of an injection mold fixed with conventional medium-sized clamps and bolts takes about half an hour. According to Hasco, the small-series mold with the CMS allows set-up to be reduced to 10.5 minutes and mold costs to be considerably reduced. The manufacturer states that over 150 injection molds employing this system are already in permanent use.
