Glass-Based Effect Pigments for Transparent Plastics

As a result of their low intrinsic color, effect pigments from Eckart GmbH, Hartenstein, Germany, exhibit a rich pearlescence which creates intense sparkling effects, even at low pigmentation levels. Luxan K pigment can be used to produce special optical effects for decorative elements, especially those made with transparent plastics, such as polycarbonate, polystyrene and polyester. Aesthetic effects can thus be obtained not only in interior automotive parts, but also in cosmetics and food packaging, household appliance housings and consumer electronics.
