Control Unit for Chillers

High Productivity

At K 2016, Frigel, the Italian process cooling specialist, demonstrated how the new 3PR system control unit with wifi and Ethernet access improves the productivity of its Microgel series of portable chiller and temperature-control units. This control platform features in the Heavygel air-cooled centralized cooling systems, which according to the manufacturer are especially energy efficient. The recently expanded series now consists of over 30 models, including units that can be operated at ambient temperatures of up to 55 °C.

Last year, with the 3PR control unit, Frigel equipped its Ecodry central cooling systems with a closed circuit and adiabatic chamber. "By extending the concept to other Frigel products and expanding the range of air-cooled chillers, we enable plastics processors to respond better to increased requirements and save money for manufacturing high-quality parts through smarter process cooling," says CEO Duccio Dorin.
