ColorControl ACS7000 Spectral Measurement System
Improved Measurement Geometry
For processes involving standardized color measurement, Micro-Epsilon Messtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Ortenburg, Germany, has developed a new color sensor for the colorControl ACS7000 spectral measurement system.
The measuring geometry of 45°/0° of the ACS1 angle sensor and the ACS2 circular sensor represent a further development of the 30°/0° angle sensor used up to now. With this measurement geometry, the system is suitable for performing measurements in accordance with color standard DIN 5033. The sensor has a resolution of ΔE < 0.08 and, thanks to a high sampling rate of 2,000 Hz, lends itself to mass production situations. The measurement spot diameter is 9 mm while the optimal measurement distance is 38 mm. Aside from the 45°/0° angle sensor, the 30°/0° angle sensor and a circular sensor for textured, highly reflective and lustrous metallic surfaces, and by the transmission sensor for transparent materials are available. The color measurement system is ideal for in-line quality checks on automotive finishes, interior color measurement, forensics, films, glass, injection molding, wood, veneers, textiles, printing and medical technology.
