Multilayer thanks to Nanolayer Technology
Cloeren Incorporated, Orange, Texas, USA, offers its K innovation for extrusion coating and lamination of sheet goods with an EBR (edge bead reduction) V-die. The EBR deckle consists of three independently adjustable components: a deckle plug in the manifold, the deckle blade in the island and the deckle rod in the lip region. This system allows processors to reduce or even eliminate the occurring edge build-up. It enables the edge trim width to be minimized. It also allows the operators to change the film widths with reduced downtimes.
The world’s widest nanolayer system will also be presented. This consists of a 55-layer Nanolayer feedblock and an Epoch extrusion die with an opening width of 5435 mm. This system is required for manufacturing multilayer, highly flexible barrier films, optical films and stretch films. By securing loads for the worldwide shipping of goods, Nanolayer films, thanks to their performance, can significantly reduce the transportation losses.
