Carbon gripper frame

Ultralightweight Carbon Gripper

Carbon gripper frame

With its novel carbon gripper frame, Krautloher GmbH Industrieautomation of Bergkirchen/Feldgeding, Germany, is introducing high-tech developments from formula 1 and aircraft engineering in production automation for the first time. Thanks to the carrier frame made from carbon composite fibers, the robot element in this gripper system is only half the weight of systems with aluminum profiles but is twice as stable and therefore saves energy consumption. Significantly reduced vibrations permit a high-speed automated line.

Pneumatic swivel drives bring additional efficiency improvements and ensure precise, harmonious, rapid rotary movements. The carbon gripper therefore increases throughput and reliability in a production line and so raises the efficiency of the entire plant. According to the manufacturer, integration into existing plant configurations is absolutely no problem.
