Easier Operation, Better Performance and Lower Consumption
Film manufacturers and their operating personnel face the challenge of ensuring stable and efficient production processes, and therefore high-quality films. This is where Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, Siegsdorf, Germany, starts with its Intelligent Line Management. It is centered around an innovative plant operation, which focuses on the process view, instead of the conventional machine view. This operating concept is supported by newly developed tools and assistance systems for inline measurement and direct influencing of film properties, such as temperature, haze or porosity. This enables film manufacturers to produce uniform film qualities, independent of place, time or climatic conditions.
The company has noted growing market interest in biaxially oriented polyamide packaging film (BOPA) and offers a wide variety of system models for this. Brückner’s Lisim simultaneous stretching process (Linear Motor Simultaneous Stretching) is enjoying increased demand, because BOPA film can be produced in high quality and with good finishing characteristics. At K 2016, it is presenting Lisim-BOPA lines with a working width of 6.6 m instead of the conventional 5.1 m. This increases output by over 30 %, considerably improving productivity.
Older and smaller production lines compete with new, highly modern production lines. Remaining competitive in the future requires modifications and modernization measures. For this purpose, Brückner Servtec GmbH, Siegsdorf, offers an expanded range of services for optimizing existing film stretching lines. The required optimization is determined individually, depending on the specified product properties and the condition of the production line. The barrier package permits, for example, production costs for transparent and metallized barrier films to be reduced, and the carbon footprint to be lowered by up to 75 %. With its Machine Condition Monitoring Service, Brückner offers the possibility of monitoring the system condition round the clock by means of sensors for measuring energy consumption or for vibration analysis, and identifying and eliminating problems in advance by preventive maintenance.
