QFlow Systems from Priamus for the Networked Production
Digitalization has become an indispensable tool in many areas. The focus has been on communicating process information via a network as simply and effectively as possible. In the injection molding process, this information is critical for successful process monitoring and control.
Priamus has developed a new series of systems ideally tailored to the networked world. The QFlow Systems provide essential functionality and are fully designed for production. The systems offer an easy-to-use and an intuitive user interface.
Each QFlow system provides one pressure and one temperature channel that are used to monitor and control the melt viscosity during production. Based on the Priamus BlueLine amplifier system’s additional pressure, temperature and voltage signal can be easily added.
The QFlow Systems operate independently from a PC so that every browser-based device can be used as a display. The newly-developed QScreen display can simply be mounted on the machine magnetically. Each QFlow system provides an integrated IoT interface, which allows an easy connection via OPC-UA standard to a local server, a cloud, or an external MES system.
The first QFlow Systems introduced at Fakuma was the Quality Monitor for process monitoring and the Quality Balancer for the automatic hot runner balancing of multi-cavity molds. The Quality Balancer is set for commercial release mid-2019.
