Modular Machine Design Permits Many Options
The ACF 820 from Amut-Comi S.P.A. in Novara, Italy, has a modular concept and is therefore available in different configurations. This enables the individual processing steps of forming, punching, and cutting to be implemented in one, two or three stations. Other design options are: Plug assist with servo drive, tool-changing equipment, and various configurations for the heating section. For improved machine performance at high speeds, the forming and cutting presses are fitted with counterbalance platens. Moreover, the machine can be equipped with an in-mold labeling system. Hereby, a robot feeds the labels into the mold through an opening in the side.
