Ready for Any Situation

Additive masterbatches for polyolefins Maxithen HP 7A4000 AM, PP 7A4060 NU and PP 7A4070 FR

To satisfy both customer and market requirements, Gabriel-Chemie GmbH, Gumpoldskirchen, Austria, has developed new additive masterbatches for polyolefins.

The anti-microbial masterbatch Maxithen HP 7A4000 AM for polyolefins is based on an inorganic silver zeolite and prevents the growth and spreading of bacteria, mold, and yeast through controlled release of silver ions. It has both FDA and EFSA approval and can also be used in outdoor application due to its full compatibility with UV stabilizers.

Maxithen PP 7A4060 NU represents the latest generation of nucleating agents and, according to the manufacturer, provides the best PP clarification currently available on the market. The product, intended for use with polypropylene, offers high thermal stability, no plate-out, has excellent organoleptic properties and satisfies all requirements for food contact applications.

The Maxithen PP 7A4070 FR flame retardant for use in polypropylene offers processors nearly all standard flammability ratings. This combination of a novel, halogen-free flame-retardant additive and a halogenated synergist provides high thermal and UV stability, and releases no corrosive vapors during processing.
