The German Packaging Institute now Managed by a Dual Leadership
The German Packaging Institute (dvi), Berlin, is expanding its management team. The packaging industry network was founded in 1990 and will now be managed by a dual leadership. Effective October 15, lawyer Kim Cheng takes on a newly created position at the side of Winfried Batzke.
Kim Cheng comes from the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) where she was in charge for eight years, most recently as office manager to the President and managing director and as director of transport and logistics. In this capacity, Cheng's agenda included the expansion of the network in the field of public affairs on a national and European level as well as awareness for and representation of special association interests.
Thomas Reiner, CEO of dvi, says: "In Kim Cheng we have found exactly the personality that we had in mind for the expanded management team. Ms Cheng will report to the Board as management spokesperson. I look forward to working with her and it is clear to see that the dvi's management team with Winfried Batzke and Kim Cheng at the helm is well equipped for further growth of our network."
