Synventive Expands in China
Synventive Molding Solutions, Peabody, MA/USA, will add a new facility in Suzhou, China, to increase its hot-runner system production. In addition to its Asian headquarters in Suzhou, which was established in 2005, the company will expand to an additional facility nearby at Unit 20, Gang Tian Industrial Square, Suzhou Industry Park. The new factory will more than double the capacity of the current facility over a two year period.
Synventive will initially move its hot-runner nozzle, tip, and small manifold manufacturing work cells to the new facility. This is scheduled to take place in March 2010. Also moving to the new facility is the company’s hot-runner system R&D Department. The increased space will allow Synventive to expand its R&D by adding a new, larger test lab and offices. The test lab will feature state-of-the-art equipment and injection molding machines.
