Swiss Plastics: Trade Show in a Three-Year Cycle
From 2014, Switzerland’s plastics trade show Swiss Plastics will be held every three years. In future, it will take place about three months after the K international trade show in Düsseldorf, and consequently ought to be able to offer more innovations. In addition, it will no longer follow so soon after the Fakuma plastics trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, which should lead to more visitors and better business for the exhibitors. In years without trade shows, events are planned – one in the French-speaking and one in the German-speaking part of Switzerland – to reinforce Swiss Plastics’ standing as a meeting point for the industry.
The Swiss Plastics Association (KVS) has been renamed Swiss Plastics, and thereby has taken the same name as the trade show. In taking this step, the association is aiming to achieve an even more professional image and to bundle synergies. Swiss Plastics is also the planned cross-sector umbrella brand name, which will be expanded in coming months.
