Sigmasoft User Meeting in October
Between October 20th and 22nd users of the Sigmasoft Virtual Molding technology from all around the world gather in the second Sigmasoft International User Meeting, this time being held in Potsdam, in the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Region. The event is exclusively organized for Sigmasoft customers by Sigma Engineering GmbH, Aachen, Germany, and will serve as a frame to share Sigma´s view on the future of injection molding simulation. It is devoted to the exchange of experiences and application examples on Sigmasoft Virtual Molding technology, and it will serve as forum to introduce coming developments on automatic optimization in injection molding.

Sigmasoft Virtual Molding users gather for the second time in an international event to share experiences and information about software innovations (figure: Sigma)
For the first time, the event will take place in parallel with the International Magma User Meeting. Magmasoft is the leading software for foundry process simulation, produced by Sigma's mother company, Magma Engineering GmbH, Aachen. Capitalizing on the development synergies of both software packages, a plenary session about Design of Experiments (DOE) in process simulation and automatic optimization will take place for both Magmasoft and Sigmasoft users.
Several workshops will be offered to give users first-hand experience in the topics of elastomer simulation, calculation of in-molded stress in injection molded parts, as well as to unveil the vast possibilities of Sigmasoft Virtual Molding on the topic of thermal simulation. The Sigma team will offer users tips and tricks to enhance the simulation experience, as well as to speed-up calculation times and improve the results accuracy.
