Sidel Names New Vice President for Europe and Central Asia
Sidel has appointed Pavel Shevchuk as Vice President for its Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Zone, effective June 2014. Shevchuk replaces Alessandro Paini who moves to the role of Vice President of Product Management based in the company’s headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.
Pavel was previously managing director Sidel Vostok - the company’s operations in Russia - and will relocate from Moscow to the Zone’s recently opened headquarters in Frankfurt. From there he will oversee activities across 60 countries. He joined Sidel in 2012 from Chumak, a food producer in Ukraine. Pavel also spent 12 years at Sidel sister company Tetra Pak where he held leadership roles in his native Ukraine and Indonesia.
“My two top priorities are firstly to set the bar for our ambition to become the PET market leader in Europe and Central Asia and to develop and implement the necessary strategy to accomplish it. Secondly, we aim to make Sidel the most innovative, responsive and reliable partner, providing sustainable solutions for our customers the beverage industry in Europe and Central Asia,” said Pavel Shevchuk.
In recent months additional key appointments have been made to further strength the leadership team and bring expertise to the company in the region. Franck Giboudeau was promoted to the position of ECA Zone Customer Services Director, while Levis Marino joined Sidel from PilenPak as ECA Zone Marketing and Business Development Director.
