Rhodia: Polymerization Unit Construction on Schedule

Rhodia, Lyon, France, announced, that the construction of the new 48kt polyamide 66 salt and polymerization plant in Onsan, South Korea, is near completion. The start-up is set for early December.

Rhodia invested almost 40 million EUR on the company’s first polymerization unit in Asia. The investment is consistent with the Rhodia’s strategy as the world’s second largest polyamide producer and the leading player in the Asian polyamide 66 market.

The company has already two engineering plastics compounding facilities in China and South Korea and recently opened a new technical application development center in Shanghai.
