Record Attendance for plast alger

The 3rd plast alger features a record attendance as 125 technology leaders from 20 countries have already signed in and there are still more to come.
Algeria’s 3rd International Plastics, Rubber and Composites Trade Fair will take place together with the 4th edition of printpack alger on 6-8 April, 2014 at the Palais des Expositions d'Alger-Safex, Algiers. The exhibitors that have registered so far come from Algeria, Austria, China, Egypt, Germany, Greece, France, India, Iran, Italy, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
The decision of the organizers to increase the exhibition space by moving to the bigger "Pavilion A" was a logical consequence of the growing demand of the Algerian plast, print & pack industry and the great success of the 2012 edition. The event gathered 2,388 professional visitors and 104 exhibitors from 17 countries.
plast alger 2014 takes place on the background of sharply rising imports. According to VDMA, the German Engineering Association, Algerian imports of plastics and rubber technology amounted to USD 99,8 million in 2012, a plus of 38% compared to USD 72.3million in 2011 and USD 60.3 million in 2010. It has been the first time that the annual amount of imports of plastics machinery exceeded the border of USD 90 million. China, Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Taiwan, Spain, Austria and Switzerland were the main supplier countries. Another important factor: Algerian imports of packaging machinery and equipment went up to USD 189.6 million in 2012, a plus of 36% compared to 2011 . It summed up to USD 139.2 million in 2011 and USD 140.1 million in 2010.
