Poland: Plastics Technology Club Officially Opened

More than 200 members came to Poznan, Poland for the Founding Conference of the Plastics Technology Club that was held on the second day of the EPLA Fair last month.

The Plastics Technology Club has been established by the Poznan University of Technology and the industry-related Business Image Publishing House. The Club is a grass roots initiative with no influence of governmental or EU agencies.

The Vice-President of the Club, Mr. Waldemar Sobanski, presented the strategy of the Club’s development for the years 2011-2012. Its main pillars are: establishing direct relations within the community of technologists, integration and consolidation of the community, educational activity, support for the technological development of the industry, international cooperation and creating the technological elite of the industry.

An important element of the Conference was the policy discussion, initiated and led by the Club’s President, Mr. Marek Szostak.

It is the ambition of the organisation’s founders to turn the Club into a hotbed of technological elite of the plastics industry in Poland. One of the main forms of the Club’s activity will be the collaboration with foreign organisations and participation in international education and integration programmes.

The next Convention of the Plastics Technology Club will be held 14.10.2011 in Warsaw, Poland.
