Plast 2018 Ends with a Positive Result
Organizers Look Forward to Full Halls and Satisfied Visitors
The organization office of the eighteenth Plast-International Exhibition for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, is very satisfied with the result of the fair for at least two reasons. Alessandro Grassi, President of the organizer Amaplast and the trading company Promaplast srl. said: “It couldn’t have gone better."
As the second largest fair after the Salone del Mobile, the fair took place in conjunction with the four events Ipack-Ima, Meat-Tech, Print4all and Intralogistica Italia.
The more than 150,000 subscribers were offered a comprehensive range of plastics and rubber technology in this way. "From day one through to the closing, Corso Italia and the seventeen halls at Fiera Milano were packed with visitors,” says Grassi.
Even more important to the organizers is the obviously great satisfaction of the exhibitors, which is reflected in a large number of contracts signed directly at the fair.
Plast 2018 recorded a total of some 1,500 exhibitors in 55,000 square metres of exhibition space, with significant growth of over twenty percentage points in foreign participants, affirming the international stature of the exhibition. One example of this was the expansion of the Chinese and Iranian collectives.
Foreign visitors made up 27.5% of the total from a total of 117 countries, with Spain, France, and Germany being the most represented.
The core of the exhibition was machinery, equipment and molds for plastics and rubber processing, with over 3,500 units on display. Industry 4.0 technology was also well represented, and also the topic of discussions in the many conferences augmenting the programme of this trade fair.
