PCC: Staff Changes
PCC (Plastics Color Corporation), Calumet City, Ill., USA, announced two major staffing changes that have significant business implications.
Timothy Workman has been promoted to vice president of business development from his previous position of business development manager. Workman joined Plastics Color last July. His role has been the strategic integration of sales and marketing, along with the development of PCC’s North Carolina Solutions Center. In his new position, Workman will oversee PCC’s R&D efforts, the integration of the recently acquired Plastics Distribution Corporation (formerly Polysource LLC), expansion of PCC’s liquid color business, investigation of potential acquisitions, and other business growth initiatives. Prior to joining Plastics Color last year, Workman held several management positions within the plastics and chemicals industry. According to PCC’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joe Byrne, “Tim has significantly increased our visibility in the market and continues to examine ways to grow our business both organically and through strategic alliances and acquisitions.” Workman will continue to report to Byrne in his new position.
PCC also announced the appointment of Fred Jhaveri to the position of global technology manager. Jhaveri brings with him more than 16 years of experience in the color concentrate business, as well as significant experience in the pigment and plastic processing industries.
Jhaveri will report to Workman and coordinate all of PCC’s technology initiatives to ensure quality and consistency in all four plants across the globe. He will also oversee vendor relationships from a technology standpoint and provide technical assistance to PCC’s labs.
