The Polyurethanes division of Huntsman Corporation, The Woodlands, TX/USA has appointed a new Global Vice President to head up its Technology & Innovation function. Pavneet Mumick will take up his new role on August 22, 2016, replacing Keith Day who has retired after more than 35 years with the business.

Mumick will join Huntsman from Momentive Performance Materials, where he was Global Vice President of Technology. With more than 20 years’ experience in industrial research and development (R&D)– primarily serving downstream markets – Mumick has an impressive track record of increasing productivity and R&D rates of return. He is also the co-author of more than 42 US patents.

Tony Hankins, President of Huntsman Polyurethanes, said: “We conducted a rigorous search to identify Keith Day’s successor and I am convinced that Pavneet will lead our Technology & Innovation team to new heights and contribute significantly to the delivery of our downstream ambitions. We look forward to welcoming him to our business.”

Mumick will be based at Huntsman’s global headquarters in The Woodlands, USA.
