Moulding Expo - New Trade Fair for Tool, Pattern and Mold Making
Moulding Expo will celebrate its première from 5th to 8th May. This new trade fair for tool, pattern and mold making, which will be held every two years in future in Stuttgart, Germany, will feature the full range of high technology which the industry has to offer - from dies for injection molding and casting, and stamping and forming tools through to the latest developments in model making and prototype construction or additive manufacturing processes.
The pace of technological development at all levels is not letting up. For this reason, trade fairs are an essential instrument for every tool, pattern and mold maker to acquire information about the latest technologies in one location in a targeted-orientated and effective way. The trade fair environment in the tool, pattern and mold making industry is changing and, with its modern trade fair and congress center, which was occupied in 2007, Stuttgart is ready to offer it an adequate "home". At present, the three allocated exhibition halls, 4, 6 and 8, are already booked up with more than 550 exhibitors, and space is running out. Over 20% of companies showing their innovations in Stuttgart in May come from abroad. The largest share among these 26 nations is filled by Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, France and the USA. By the start of May, the available floor area - totalling 31,500 m2 - is expected to be completely filled.
Messe Stuttgart is a service provider and has brought together the four major industry associations as partners to help shape the Moulding Expo trade fair. The German Tool and Mould Makers Association (Verband Deutscher Werkzeug- und Formenbauer, VDWF), the Federal Association of Model and Mouldmaking (Bundesverband Modell- und Formenbau, MF), the German Engineering Association (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, VDMA) and the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken, VDW).
Among the media companies that cooperate with Messe Stuttgart on the new trade fair, Carl Hanser publishing house (the home of "Kunststoffe international)" will support the framework programme of the trade fair in all matters concerning the plastics processing industry at the Moulding Expo Forum in hall 4 with contributions on the topic of processing technology during injection molding or commercial copyright.
